New Car Park Entrance Works

With effect from 3 August 2026, work will begin on creating the new entrance on Dunkirk Road to the Main Car Park at the Outdoor Sports Centre.

While these improvements are being carried out, temporary traffic management measures will be in place to help keep everyone using the centre safe, including visitors, staff and contractors. As part of these arrangements, the two dedicated parking spaces either side of the current entrance will be removed and will not return once the works are completed.

The works to the new entrance are expected to take around 6 weeks to complete and will provide a safer, more convenient arrival, helping visitors access parking more easily and improving traffic flow around the site.

We appreciate that construction works can sometimes cause short-term disruption, and we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding. We would like to reassure you that these essential construction works are necessary to ensure a successful delivery of the project. All existing facilities at the Outdoor Sports Centre will remain fully operational throughout this period and our management team will be on site during normal working hours and available to answer any questions you may have or alternatively get in touch with Danny Brennan.
